If you want to feel extremely glamorous but extremely poor at the same time… the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco is the place to go. My only advice would be dress the part & you’ll feel the part!

For starters, I’d say not to bring in any more than €100, the temptation once you’ve won a couple of euros to spend some more is… dangerous. The entry to the casino is €17, however €10 of this is then handed back to you in the form of a voucher. Which you can either spend towards a drink from the bar, or on the slot machines. I would recommend putting the voucher towards a drink as I learnt the hard way and spent €46 on two gin and tonics (cry).

The architecture of the actual Monte Carlo Casino is gorgeous, as is the whole surrounding. An added bonus is definitely the glorious amount of ridiculously expensive cars that rev past you. I definitely saw into my future dream life (pray).

When it comes to winning any amount of money… I have mixed feelings. My sister managed to make €89 from €20, which I then proceeded to lose in the time frame of two minutes 🙂 (sorry sister). However, I then bet €5 on roulette & came away with €51 which covered my two overly expensive gin & tonics, so I happily walked away with it. In saying this, I also lost €25 on one game, but irrelevant as I’m trying to forget this. All in all, coming from a broke uni student trying to live her best most luxurious life, I’d do it all over again.
